Currency:

The Brazilian currency is called Real, Reais (plural).
1 Real = 100 centavos

 

Language:

The main language is Portuguese but Brazilians often understand a little Spanish too.
They are not very good at English but many people now see the advantages of knowing a bit English aswell.

 

Temperature:

The temperature is almost never very low. During January and February 35 - 40 degrees Celcius. After that it drops more and more and during July and August it can be down to 9 degrees Celcius. But it das´t happen often. Then it gets warmer and warmer again, and in December we are back at 28 - 32 degrees.
